Description of IPC Section 357
According to section 357 of Indian penal code, Whoever assaults or uses criminal force to any person, in attempting wrongfully to confine that person, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.
IPC 357 in Simple Words
Section 357 of the Indian Penal Code states that if someone assaults or uses criminal force against another person while trying to wrongfully confine them, they can be punished with imprisonment for up to one year, or a fine of up to one thousand rupees, or both.
