SECTION 29A IPC - Indian Penal Code - Electronic Record

As per new Indian Criminal law, IPC Section 29A has been replaced with BNS Section 2 with effect from July 1, 2024.
(Words “and includes electronic and digital record” are added. BNS Section 2(8) incorporates both the sections 29 and 29A of IPC and adds digital records.)

The words ?electronic record? shall have the meaning assigned to them in clause (t) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
