what can i do if the groom refuses to marry after all the arrangements for the wedding has been done. its a love cum arrange marriage. the groom says that the family is not ready for this marriage after everything has been done.
Breach of promise to marry per se is not actionable, except where the person has actually incurred expenses for the wedding and the necessary incidents thereof. In your case all the preparations were done and clear declaration was made by both the side to marry. You can file a police complaint and also ask for Damages for Financial Loss and Compensatory damages these are damages for related losses such as injury to the plaintiff’s health, emotional state, or reputation
