We got married without our parents permission now want to split?

31-Jan-2023 (In Divorce Law)

Hello, I am married to a girl since 9 months. We got married without the consent of our parents hoping that they will accept us, if not , we could change their minds by convincing them. But things did not go as we planned, the girls parents are strictly against the marriage. So the only option for us is to part ways. We both agree on this. But we are afraid that our parents may get to know about this if we file a MCD. What shall we do?? Shall we get on with our lives without getting a legal divorce?? Also the condition of MCD is that both the parties should live separately for 1 year.

If you have decided to dissolve the marriage, you may have to wait for completion of one year period from the date of marriage because you both never stayed together from the date of marriage so the separation period can be computed from the date of marriage itself.
There is no exemption to this clause. Also the option is by dissolution of marriage by a decree of divorce only, you cannot remain like this itself, it cannot be considered as divorce.

Yes for mutual consent one year is required.
Where you got married and is there any proof to it. If it is thete then mcd is the only option.
For mcd it is only 2 appearances, so the girl family may not know this.
