Spouse /her lawyer asks for Multiple passover

12-Jan-2024 (In Divorce Law)
My wife filed for divorce without talking to me about it, i went to mediation and agreed to mutual divorce and started to gather evidence and replied to her petition. (evidence includes her frrivolous lifestyle and adultery records, mails to prove the same and photographs) She switched lawyers and now contesting in court. Her lawyer fails to make appearance and she frequently asks for passover and leaves the court. How to ensure her that she not delays it or takes advantage of passovers ?

It would be better for you to talk to your wife through some well wisher and explain your consent for mutual divorce. Routine delays in court will be difficult to avoid. Your wife's intention may be to harass and that is the reason for change of lawyers and making use of court procedures. It would be better to reach out to her through some relative/ friend and make her understand the situation and your consent for divorce.

hi alocious here, I can well understand your concern from the query raised, getting passover without confronting case is a loss of time and peace for both the parties, would suggest you to contest the case and expedite it as early as possible, you can contact me for further clarifications, thank you
