You have the right to file for divorce under grounds such as cruelty, desertion, adultery, or irretrievable breakdown of marriage. First, a legal notice can be sent to your husband stating your intent to divorce, offering a chance for mutual settlement. If he agrees, you both can file for mutual consent divorce under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act. If not, you can file a contested divorce petition in the family court

You can file for divorce under relevant personal law applicable to your religion. You can file for Divorce by mutual consent if both the parties agree, or a contested divorce if your spouse is unwilling. Grounds for divorce include cruelty, desertion, adultery, or irretrievable breakdown of marriage. You can send a legal notice through an advocate stating your intention to separate and inviting him/her for discussion or mutual consent. You should consult a family lawyer to understand other aspects such as financial, alimony, maintenance etc before filling.

You can send a legal notice through your advocate which will drafted as per your instructions and in that every thing will be mentioned from the date of marriage to date of separation and then you as well as your advocate and your husband and his advocate will together make a joint meeting and try to discuss terms and conditions and you will have options.

ma'am if you guys are willing to be separated then mutual consent divorce is the best way out. it is easy, less time consuming, and has very few formalities. if you are going for a contested divorce then it is time consuming. The best way is to talk things out and file for the mutual consent divorce.
