Precaution to protect myself from false dowry case

27-Apr-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I have been married for the past 8 months. My wife is quarreling with me for silly reasons and it is getting dirty day by day. I fear she and her parents would file a false 498a / DV against me. I have got no money from her as dowry. 1.What precautions I should take to protect myself from being jailed? 2.Can I file a RCR(Restitution of Conjugal rights against her) as a precaution from being jailed? 3.Will phone recordings that I have not taken money help out? 4.Will it help if my parents legally disown me? 5.She is drawing 20k and I have the proof. I am a student now. Do I have to pay?

Here are 2 options available.

Firstly, If she is staying with you, we would advice you to make call recordings or video recording of her making such threats.

Secondly, if she left your home then your make a written statement to the local police station stating that she left your house. If the case has already been filed we suggest you to hire a competent advocate to defend you in the court.

You also may want to prepare to file an anticipatory bail for yourself and your family if some criminal complaint like under Section 498a has been filed / is about to be filed against you and your family.
