Hello, I understand that you are going through a difficult situation. You can certainly seek legal advice regarding separation and divorce. Since your marriage is only two months old, the usual one-year requirement under the Hindu Marriage Act needs to be considered. However, in cases involving exceptional hardship or serious cruelty, the law provides a possibility of seeking the Court’s permission to proceed even before completion of one year. I would first need to understand the nature of the abuse, your living arrangements, the conduct of your husband and his family, and the specific incidents that have taken place. Based on these facts, I can advise you regarding the appropriate legal remedy, including whether an early divorce proceeding can be considered. You may schedule a consultation with me, during which we can discuss your situation confidentially and I can guide you on the available legal options.

After reviewing all the facts and details of your case, we can take appropriate legal action against your husband and in-laws. If there has been any physical or mental abuse, we can also initiate proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 for protection orders and monetary relief.

If you are financially helpless, file a maintainence case or a DV case. Divorce can wait. Right now, your focus must be on getting maintenance to take care of your immediate and urgent needs. Talk to your husband and see if reconciliation is possible. Take couple counselling if possible. Don't make any decisions in a hurry
