My husband and in laws are abusive to me

27-Nov-2024 (In Divorce Law)
I've been married for almost a year, but we've only lived together for 35 days. He's been mentally torturing me since our engagement and physically abusing me after marriage. Now, he harasses me daily, saying a husband has the right to physically abuse his wife. His parents also support this mentality, claiming a wife should tolerate physical abuse. I've been living in my parental home for six months. My husband works in the Gulf. After six months, will I get justice if I file a petition now?

File a Domestic Violence Case Under the Domestic Violence Act, 2005, you can seek protection from verbal abuse, harassment, and coercion. You can also request the right to live separately and seek maintenance for yourself from your husband. you will get justice for sure.. contact for further discussions.
