My husband abused and tortured me. I want to stay separate from him.

My husband is mean and verbally abusive to me when he drinks. Without my mistake he Insults belittling and very hurtful things come out of his mouth.I have 9 yr kid in front of that my husband abused me hitting me. Its been a 12 yr for our marriage, just because of my kid and own family I was quit. Though I Am very strong but in some point of time I fell I should end my life, Then i Think of my child and I stopped..I want stay separately with my child without giving divorce because he always said that I am a men easily I find a girl top of that I am a Government Employee..Please help and guide
