Litigant Party-in-Person: eFiling status "Case not verified in CIS"

04-Jul-2026 (In Divorce Law)
Respected Sir/Ma'am, We are Muslim. As a litigant Party-in-Person, I have online e-filed a matrimonial petition at the Dhule District & Sessions Court on 30th June 2026. Since then, the status is continuously showing "Case not verified in CIS". As I am appearing in person without an advocate, how many days does the court staff usually take to verify it? Should I wait more, or do I need to visit the court filing counter physically to clear it? Please guide.

Usually, CIS verification may take a few working days, but if the status remains unchanged for more than 3 - 5 working days, visit the filing counter at Dhule District and Sessions Court with your e-filing acknowledgement to confirm whether any defect or document is pending. As you are appearing in person, the filing section can guide you on the exact reason and next step.

Case not verified in CIS generally means that the filing is still pending scrutiny or verification by the court registry. The time required varies from court to court, and there is no fixed number of days. Since your petition was filed on and the status has not changed, it would be advisable not to wait indefinitely. You may visit the filing counter or registry of the concerned court and enquire whether any defect or compliance is pending so that the matter can be processed further. If you have the e-filing acknowledgement, case details or any communication received from the court, you may share them through the WhatsApp option available on my profile. After reviewing the documents, I can guide you on the appropriate next steps.
