Jurisdiction for filing divorce case

01-Aug-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hi. Now , I am moving ahead for divorce. Left my husband’s home 5 months back but waited for getting back my money first .My husband and me bought a house in hyderabad , he took almost 15 lakhs from me . Now since i have decided to leave him he is not giving my money, he lives in hyderabad and I live in Bangalore . I am thinking to file a police complaint in Hyderabad as a known ACP (Family police)is ready to chase up my money and later after 10 days I want to file a divorce case in Bangalore. Is the procedure correct? Can I file police case (Hyderabad) and divorce case (Bangalore) in separate

hi,
to collect your money from him you can file a suit for recovery of your money. it will be good if you have done evidence that you have paid this money to him such as bank statement, cheque etc. also your other alternative is that you can ask for a share in his house. and yes you can file a separate case for divorce in bangalore. also there is no necessity for lodging a police complaint here because there was no instance of 420 (cheating) here. you can directly file a case for the recovery of the same
