I want to take time for getting new laywer. Will judge accept.


07-Jul-2025 (In Divorce Law)
From last 3 hearing i am requesting judge need some time to counter the petition, submitting witnesses to the court with out my lawyer. Tomorrow hearing, shall i absent or attent to the court and request judge i am finding new lawyer so allow me 3 weeks time? Suggest me.

S.Gunasekar Answer You should attend the court tomorrow. Politely inform the judge that you are in the process of appointing a new lawyer and request 3 weeks’ time to file your counter and submit witnesses properly. Do not remain absent — it may go against you.

hi, I can well understand your concern from the query raised, you yourself can appear in person and request time for filing the counter petition, it should not be an issue since you are the main individual representing with regards to a Family Court, thank you

mam what is the next up coming hearing date and is it a divorce petition when it is filed by the petitioner and which court and where are you staying changing a advocate u should inform about changing of advocate and should take no objection from that advocate
