you can file divorce petition against your husband in the family court of your district on the ground of cruelty . here as I can see the statement which you have written that your husband beats you and you don't feel safe with him, this is a ground for divorce under section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act . all these acts of your husband like beating you or torturing you forms part and parcel of cruelty as held by The Honorable Supreme Court in many cases .

You can lodge an FIR against him under section 498 A of the IPC along with relevant sections of Domestic Violence Act against the cruelty & torture being committed by him against you. You can also file a maintenance case and should think for divorce as well.
