I promised a girl to marry her and now I don't want to

I met a girl year ago and because of her troubled past . I promised her that I'll marry her . We lived in live in relationship but with time I started hating her because of her abusive behavior. I don't want marry her .

no one can compel to marry. However she may complain about her nonfulfilment of promise to marry, if she is able to prove that you on the basis of false promises to marry have made physical relations with her, she may sue you for rape etc. then you may be in trouble. it's batter to settle with her before making break up.
