Husband and inlaws not allowing me to do higher study or job.

I am a female and have done love marriage. Before marriage they promised me that they will help me in my higher studies and help to build my career and allow me to do a job also.After marriage they are saying that we are not having money for your education and you have to do the job of mother in laws choice not of my choice .I dont want to do a job of their choice they are forcing me to do job of their choice otherwise they threatening me that after marriage a woman has to work in instruction of husband.please help .
