How to file for divorce on grounds of cheating

19-Feb-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Hello, I got married on 10 jan 2016 hindu family. But after few days the bride told me that she had an affair and she can not live without her ex. She even told that she told her father about the affair 10 days before the marriage but her father also concealed this from our family. I have recordings of her stating that. Is'nt it a fraud with us? She lived with our family and left out home in just 20 days. Our marriage was not registered due to her lack of interest in our family. Now she is not willing to give Mutual Consent Divorce and her father is demanding a hefty amount from us. Me and my parents are in deep depression. Please guide what to do. Thank You

Sir in this situation you can file a contested divorce on the ground of cheating and desertion.. It will be more beneficial and convenient for you if your wife agree for mutual divorce.. However we should approach for contested divorce, as negotiations can be made any time during the trail

You can file a divorce petition in the court on the basis of cheating done by her as well as by their parents. Since you have recorded her statement, she was in a relationship and she volunteerly accepted that, it's a solid ground for filing a divorce petition an parallely you can also save your skin for giving unnecessary amount to her father. File a police complaint for the same incident so that you won't be harassed by them by filling wrong complaint against you in police.
