How to face Trial in BNS 85, 351, 352, 115,

11-Jul-2026 (In Divorce Law)
Can anyone please guide me how to face trial in BNS85 case. My chargesheet is filed. And most of the allegations in the FIR are vague and baseless. How should I face trials and what things I should keep in mind during trial.

You can reply with: If the chargesheet has been filed, carefully examine the FIR, witness statements, and documents for inconsistencies and contradictions. The prosecution must prove the allegations beyond reasonable doubt. Attend all court dates, comply with bail conditions, and avoid contacting prosecution witnesses. If the allegations are vague or unsupported by evidence, an effective cross-examination can significantly strengthen your defence. Consult an advocate to prepare a proper trial strategy based on the chargesheet.

Once the charge sheet has been filed, the trial will mainly depend on the evidence produced by the prosecution, not merely on the allegations made in the FIR. If the allegations are vague, inconsistent or unsupported by independent evidence, your defence can effectively highlight these aspects during cross-examination. Attend every hearing, comply with the court's directions, and avoid any act that may prejudice your case. Carefully examine the FIR, charge sheet, witness statements and other documents for contradictions and omissions. Preserve all documents, electronic records, messages or any other evidence supporting your defence. If the prosecution fails to prove the allegations beyond reasonable doubt, you are entitled to an acquittal. Please share the FIR, charge sheet and other relevant case documents through the WhatsApp option on my profile so that I can examine them and advise you on the best defence strategy for your trial.
