My sister is seeking legal help regarding marital harassment and domestic violence by her husband. She needs guidance on how to proceed with a divorce case and ensure her safety. What are the necessary steps?

For marital harassment, file a case under S. 85, 86 of BNS through an experienced advocate. There are some other cases for getting matrimonial relief like S. 144 of BNSS. Divorce can be obtained if the husband and wife are living separately for at least 1 year from the date of marriage. 1. mutual divorce: when both the husband and wife are agreed and ready to dissolve their marriage by a decree from the proper court. 2. If either of them is not ready, a contest divorce case should be filled through an experienced advocate. consult a senior and experienced advocate to get proper relief.
