dowry case magistrate court case related

01-Dec-2025 (In Divorce Law)
petitioner had filed a dowry complaint, but the police—under the husband’s influence—used a false witness and wrongly claimed it was an “affair.” It was challenged in high court with the closure report in High Court, and the High Court has set it aside as false and directed to approach the Magistrate. Based on that order, the Magistrate has now registered a dowry + criminal intimidation case against the husband and his parents. question is: If that same false witness appears in the Magistrate

Dear Client, 1. If the same false witness appears before the Magistrate, you can immediately challenge their testimony by pointing out that the High Court has already rejected the earlier statement as false; giving false evidence before the Magistrate amounts to perjury under Sections 191–193 IPC, and you can file an application requesting the court to initiate perjury action against the witness. Their earlier discredited statement also weakens the defence and strengthens the dowry and criminal intimidation case against the husband and his parents. 2. Consult an advocate to discuss your case in brief. 3. You may schedule an appointment regarding your case by phone or email at your convenience. Thanks & regards, Priyanka Advocate Coimbatore
