Domestic Violence Section 22 compensation order

11-Apr-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Can a women demand compensation under section 22 of DV Act that is not a specific amount. Can she just demand compensation. Can she demands investment instruments like existing Fixed Deposits as compensation as this would mean the compensation demand keeps increasing as women continues to litigate and ensures interest in FD keeps accruing. Would judge consider the prayer to be demand for amount in FD when petition was filed or at the time of final adjudication. nCan the judge be told to strike off such a prayer as it is vague, not specific, and ever increasing.

Section 498A of IPC has come as a major amendment in the Indian Penal Code, 1860 which was inserted in 1983 for the safeguarding of women's rights and empowerment. The extortion of any kind of property by subjecting a woman to cruelty is punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code
