Divorce suit filed on the basis for 498a

I am Hindu Maharashtrian. 498 a filed by wife in 1992 against husband &relative . we acquitted in 2007 saying that prosecutions story is concocted. and in 2014 divorce suit filed . Now in this divorce suit in sr.. div court she filed..Say in say she repeated all the allegations 498a. & pleaded those are right . can this pleading can be considered cause action for filing any criminal or civil defamation suit by my relatives.

Dear client she can put her story in her written statement. If she fail to prove her allegations then courr will give u divorce. After that yr relatives can file case for defamation against her for any legal help call me

Definitely if you are acquitted and she has not appealed you can file a case of defamation against the wife also cases can be filed for filing false FIR etc....alternately you can mention the family court your details of acquittal by filing an application along-with copy of judgment of your acquittal. please contact your local lawyer for further advice

Yes once u have been discharged by honerable court then once again it can not be pleaded. This act amount to revenge by your wife. For this u can file defamation case in civil court support ing that allegation.
