Divorce done a while back how can we get a copy of it

One of my friend is looking for divorce decree. He is aware that it has been issued. He has no talking terms with his ex wife for more than 8 yrs and during this period her wife applied for divorce and she got it. So now he is looking for a copy of it. How can i obtain the decree?
Apply for a certified copy of the decree in the copying department of the concerned court. Of course, he have to have the Matrimonial Suit Number because the number should be mentioned in the application for obtaining the certified copy of the decree.
