Daughter in law filed a maintenance case demanding 1 lakh per month.

My son is in Andamans,divorce case is under process, having a 6 ur old daughter with mother. She has filed a maintenance case demanding one lakh. My son's income is very low. H3 has started a smell buisness now with the help of his parents. Cost of transportation from Andaman to Trichy is very costly .what to do

hi alocious here, I can well understand your concern from your query raised, one can contest the maintenance claimed, stating your state of income and finances, and convince the court, As it is statutory for you to give maintenance with regards to this matter and the amount shall be determined based on the income, since there is a child involved the maintenance will usually be higher, you can contact me for further information thank you
