To withdraw a contempt petition listed for February 2026 in the Delhi High Court, the husband can take the following steps:- File an Application for Early Hearing: The husband can request an early hearing by filing an application before the court, explaining the reasons for urgency or the need to advance the hearing date. File an Application for Withdrawal: To formally withdraw the contempt petition, the husband can submit a withdrawal application under Section 21 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. This application will outline the reasons for seeking withdrawal and request the court's permission to withdraw the petition. Request for Urgent Listing: If the matter is not urgent but the husband wants the petition heard earlier, a lawyer can file an application for an urgent hearing, requesting the court to reschedule the date. We can file an application and based on the valid reasons to withdraw the court will grant the order at the earliest provided that you have to move an application expeditiously.

Hi, The husband can file an Early Listing, Preponement Application. In this application, he should mention that he intends to withdraw the contempt petition and seeks an early listing for that limited purpose. Let me know if you wish to discuss further.
