Can I take stridhan without divorcing my husband
30-Nov-2023 (In Divorce Law)
Im not staying with my husband.. he wants me to house arrest me.. also he wants me to give my entire salary to him.. now im staying with my parents... I have a kid now planning to live alone.. I would like to take sridhan or gifts which I received for my marriage.. I don't want his gifts... I need my Sridhan like fridge, washing machine, tv etc... Can I take these things from the husband's house without divorcing him ?
You can stay separately and not give your salary to him. You can first stay separately and then try to lodge a complaint with the Police to get your articles. If the Police does not help you, you can file a petition for return of the articles in a Court. You need not file for divorce to take the articles from your husband. If you need any further assistance, you may contact me.
Of course, you have every right to get back all your articles, gifts and sridhana. There is no need of any divorce and therefore don't worry. All you have to do is to go to a police station, lodge a complaint against him.
