Can i file for divorce if false academic information was give by wife

06-Sep-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I got married one and half months back. However recently I have come to know that my wife and her parents lied to me and my family members before our marriage about the academics of my wife. They said that my wife was a good student and she appeared for her final year graduation exam. We trusted their words and did not check the certificates. However we have come to know that she has backlogs of early semesters which are not yet being cleared. I am feeling cheated due to this lie. I think this is breach of trust and I want a divorce. Can I get that?

Yes, you can file for Divorce under section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act against your wife. but it would be very difficult to get divorce because the grounds you are telling can be sorted out. how much time has it been that you are married. if its less then a year then you need to file for annulment on the basis of cheating.
