Can husband file defamation case against wife?

Sir, I have filed divorce case against my wife based on cruelty. From last 1.5 years case is going on. I have all soughts of written Documents written by my wife as self confession stating that all cruelty she has done purposely under the guidance of her mother n other people due to which I was defamed in my working place n pulled down my dignity in society. So plz tell me in this situation can I file defamation against my wife? I have WhatsApp messages sent by her clearly accepting her mistakes.
