28-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
if a woman remarries after divorce and have a child from her first husband, will she get any maintenance from her first husband, if yes until when? and is the maintenance only for the child or including her? Will the child get maintenance from his biological father even after 18 years?

Maintenance payments to women will stop if she remarries or enter a new civil partnership.
Living with someone else in a relationship, without marrying or entering a civil partnership, doesn’t automatically mean that payments from her ex-partner will stop. But husband could ask her to agree to reduce the amount, or stop payments altogether.
This is on the basis that there is someone else who is now contributing to her living costs.
If she moves in with a new partner and she is receiving child support, this won’t be affected by her relationship, whether or not she marry or enter a civil partnership. But can agree with her ex-partner to change the level of payments, if for example income levels change. If stepchildren are involved.
This can be complicated so it’s worth consulting a lawyer for further assistance.
