Hello Reader, Anticipatory Bail (pre-arrest bail) can be applied for when a person apprehends arrest in a non-bailable offence. The application is filed before the Sessions Court or the High Court. There is no fixed time limit within which a person must obtain anticipatory bail after registration of an FIR. However, it is advisable to apply as soon as there is a reasonable apprehension of arrest.
