My question is my maintainance is decided in hma 24 my salary is 8000 And I have to pay 8000 maintainance to my wife bcos documents is not placed by my lawyer can high court reduce my maintaiance or not
Yes it can. The award of maintenance depends on the salary the person is getting. But the same includes the other income with the person might be deriving from other sources as well. The court while awarding maintainence has to see all aspects and than pass an order. Taking into account the facts stated above, the award is wrong and the appellate court would straight away reduce the said amount.
