Theft in house filed case how to support my case

There was Incident of theft in our house. I am Fighting the case please tell me know what supportive documents and step should I take to win my case

The initial step in such type of cases is, the affected party should lodge a F. I.R first, then provide all the details of the lost items & details of the suspect (if any) to the police. Since it is an offence against the state, so it the police who has to file case before the magistrate after conducting detail investigation. If police able to recover the stolen items, then the affected party has to make an application for release of articles before the concerned magistrate before whom the matter is pending and he can get his stolen items.
