Dear Client, 1. You can file a petition under CrPC (for declaring absconder and property attachment) and request the court to issue a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) and recommend passport cancellation through the Regional Passport Office under the Passports Act, 1967. 2. Extradition from UAE can be sought through the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) once the warrant and Look Out Circular (LOC) are active. 3. If your father-in-law is also named in the FIR and evidence supports his involvement, he can be arrested as per CrPC. 4. Consult an advocate to discuss your case in brief. 5. You may schedule an appointment regarding your case by phone or email at your convenience. Thanks & regards, Priyanka Advocate Coimbatore

You can file a petition before the concerned Magistrate or High Court seeking a direction to the police for filing the final report, issuance of a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW), and expediting the trial. Based on the existing FIR and Lookout Circular (LOC), you may also request the Regional Passport Office to impound or cancel your husband’s passport under Section 10(3) of the Passport Act, 1967 through a formal police or court request. As for your father-in-law, if his involvement is evident in the FIR and investigation, arrest is possible depending on the evidence and role attributed to him. The legal cost varies depending on the stage of the case, but typically, ₹25,000–₹75,000 may be required for filing and pursuing the petitions for NBW, court directions, and follow-up actions.
