punished under section 354 IPC, am I still eligible for govt. job?

I have completed the sentence of 1 year which was given to me by the session court in section 354 of the IPC now I am free from jail and my appeal is also pending in High Court can I prepare for any government job I am eligible or not for government jobs
In this case you need to look upon that whether you are still serving the punishment or you have already served it.if you are the main convict then you will not be eligible for the job. If the suit is till pending in some upper court then that will be counted under pendency.
