Procedure for withdrawal of case from the court?

I have filed a court case 5 years back. Hearing doesn't happen till date. Date is getting postponed. I want to withdraw my case. What is the procedure?

In this case you can file an application for the withdrawal of your case. However it depends on the judge that how he decides upon your application. You can also make a settlement with the other party and give it in court as it will be persuasive for your case.
