NON PAYMENT OF DUES TO FREELANCERS

10-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Respected Sir/Madam, 40 freelance trainers worked for a company in a project but the owner of the company has not paid our dues even after 2 years. There is no legal contract between the freelancers and the company owner however we all do have proofs in the form of photos, WhatsApp group chat & mail conversation where he has promised to make the payment as well as ourself to have worked in the project. The owner is habitual offender who is known to defraud the trainer's as well as the college from where he gets the project.

The free lance trainers togather can file a police complaint for offences under section 406 &420 IPC. if the police doesn't take action, you can approach the magistrate for a direction to register FIR. alternatively you can also file a suit of recovery of the the dues and plead for attachment of properties of an equivalent amount
