Neighbor lodged FIR against me will it affect getting government job
20-Jun-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Sir, my name is Munish , my selection has been made as Assistant Professor. In April 2016, my neighbor lodged an FIR in my mutual dispute. The case is pending in the District Court under Section 294, 323, 452 against me. My question is, what can be the problem with my appointment
Generally, conviction in the said criminal cases causes problem in the course of applying for the jobs. However, in your situation as the case is pending you are only required to mention the status of the case in your employment form. Now, if you are acquitted then there is no effect of the said accusation upon your employment and if the company policy contains the clause for the same then it can cause problem only if you are convicted in the said case.
Yes, it will affect your chances to the post of Asst. Prof or any other government job, as the same requires mandatory disclosure of pending criminal cases, acquittals and conviction. It is advisable to settle the matter and get the charges quashed.
