Married man having affair with divorced woman

1) if a married man (with his wife alive) has a date (e.g.Movie, Dinner) with a divorced woman. Is it an offence in India? 2) What if the same divorced woman tries to trap the man by bringing police or try to blackmail him.

Only having date is not offence in India but living in adultry is offence against spouse only and only his wife can file complaint. Any women can't trap a man unless any offence like molestation etc is disclosed. So not worry about it and file complaint to police for extortion.

Yes it is indeed an offence with legal compliance and liability in the case of his own dependant family as well as a heinous crime of giving dead hope to an emotionally entangled divorced lady. Secondly if it is vice versa that is that divorced lady takes undue advantage of his married so called friend n blackmailed him then also it is a clear case of cheating and conspiracy
