Drink and Drive Case (2 Wheeler)

13-Aug-2026 (In Criminal Law)
I was caught for driving by traffic police in Pune. The alcohol reading on meter was 65.6mg (way above the limit of 30). I am 22 yrs old and have no previous crime record. This happened first time in life. I am currently working in an MNC. I don't want to go to jail in any condition. I can pay any drink and drive fine, I can submit a formal apology to the court and can also have a temporary license suspension but I don’t want to go to jail . I am very tensed. What should I do?

I can help you with this. Since this is your first offence and you have no previous criminal record, we can review the challan/FIR, breathalyser report and court proceedings and work towards seeking the least severe punishment and avoiding imprisonment, subject to the court’s discretion. Please share the documents, and I can guide you on the next steps.

If you’re currently out then don’t don’t worry.. you’ll not be sent to the jail.. as soon as your case is committed to a court just hire a lawyer or hire one already if you’re in the jail in that case you won’t get a case in your name for your safety
