Cheque lost after I received it from the company what defense can take

I m a new join fr rao ideal services PVT LTD company sence i m wroking past from 20 days i got a a cheque on feb 2nd of 2016 . But i dT PASS THROUGHT CONSULT PERSON IT WAS SAFE IN MY RACK . MY company member as clean my cabian ... she as through the cheque to dust bin . The company assoution me as a vitim . what case i can ledger there is any mistake by my side
You need to inform your company that the cheque has been lost so that the company can intimate bank about it to stop it from making payments of that cheque. And you could request the company to issue you a fresh cheque
