Can I file complint after 6 to 7 yrs for hand fingur fracture ?

In 2023 may - I suffered 2 months hand figure fracture because my elder brother hit me and I have x-ray and fractured hand photos now I am preparing for competitive exams after I get the job can i file criminal case against elder brother? because now I need present parents support for studies if now I case file against him, he thretening me to complaint againest me to spoil my career with flse fir my parents stop their support I may secure job by 2028 Can I file criminal case after 6 to 7 years?

you can file a case against him, but there will be delay in registration of FIR. and FIR is main one for criminal cases, if there should be delay ain criminal cases, possibility of winning is less. always prefer no delay in criminal cases,
