09-Apr-2023 (In Criminal Law)

Dear Sir, I had a criminal case which was decided in my favour in 2011 and I was acquitted. Can i apply for a govt job now. there is an option in all govt forms which asks whether you have been jailed ever, what should i write in the form?

The question asked is "not jailed" but "conviction". i.e. whether have you been previously convicted ofr any crime etc. or if any case is pending against you.

Acquittal means, you are not convicted and there is no pending case against you. So you can very well apply for the Job.

Good Luck
