Can a third person file a complaint on behalf of aggrieved female

One of my female family member get sexually explicit text and harassing text from some one anonymous however that person seems to be in total stalking and have all the knowledge of that particular person. What can I do in this case. Can I file the case anonymously as I dont want to get de fame in the society .

Yes, Criminal case can be filed by any person. Criminal case doesn't require locus. You can Lodge F. I. R on her behalf but you have to give your name. You can give anonymous complaint but then it will be on police if police want to take action on that or not?
