10-Oct-2025 (In Criminal Law)
My 498/406 case is disposed off and FIR is quashed in high court last week. Order copy is available for both. Can I now apply for Original FDs given as sureties for bail bond in court in Delhi District court . How much time it takes for court to release FDs.

Yes, you can apply for the release of your original Fixed Deposits (FDs) by filing an application before the same Delhi District Court where the bail bond was executed. Attach copies of the High Court order quashing the FIR and the earlier bail order. The court usually releases the FDs within 1–3 weeks, depending on the workload and verification process.

Yes, you can apply for release of the original FDs deposited as sureties for the bail bond. File an application before the same trial court enclosing a certified copy of the High Court order showing FIR quashing and disposal of the case. The court will verify the order and issue release directions to the Nazir/Ahlmad for return of FDs. Generally, it takes around 1–2 weeks after filing, depending on the court’s schedule and verification process. If you want me to help you with the procedure kindly contact 8-3-7-7-0-5-1-6-7-5
