Dear Sir/Madam, Based on the proposed business activities, the following basic registrations and permissions will be required before commencement of operations: 1. Business & Tax Registration: The business should first be constituted as a Sole Proprietorship, LLP, Partnership or Private Limited Company, depending upon the proposed structure. PAN, TAN and GST registration may also be required as applicable. 2. MSME Registration: Udyam Registration is advisable to obtain applicable MSME benefits and facilitate financing. 3. Premises Documents: A valid commercial rent/lease agreement, electricity bill and NOC from the property owner should be maintained. 4. Local Licences: Shops & Establishment registration and the applicable municipal trade/health licence should be obtained. 5. Food Business: If ice cream or other food products are prepared, sold or served, the appropriate FSSAI registration/licence will be necessary. 6. Spa/Wellness Services: Where massage or spa services are proposed, applicable municipal health/sanitary permissions and any local police requirements should be complied with. 7. Beach/Coastal Activities: For beach equipment rental or similar activities near the shoreline, prior permission from the competent Tourism/Panchayat authority and compliance with applicable CRZ regulations may be necessary. The exact licences will depend upon the location, nature and scale of the proposed activities. I would therefore recommend verifying the local requirements before commencing business.
