Registration or copyright of an annual event idea and its format

16-May-2023 (In Trademark & Copyright Law)
Hi. Where to register or copyright an annual event idea and its format in India/Delhi. And how much it costs? Like Fremantle media India owns the India's Got Talent show, we will be owning the event format and have global rights.

If you have an idea and a concept about your show, then it would be wise to register with the Screen Writers Association as this would protect your idea/concept/story from third parties and would put it in a place where you would have proof and validity for its creation. This should be your first step. Next if you have a name or title for your proposed show, for example "India's Got Talent show"; you would have to apply for a trademark of the same with the Trademarks Registry.
