Clarification on extra-territorial patent infringement

I've come up with a product that I wish to manufacture and sell in India. However, patent searches have revealed that a very similar product has been patented in the US. The patent has not been extended to India. Under these circumstances, 1. Is it legal to manufacture and sell the product in India? 2. If it is legal, would it be patent infringement to advertise the patented product on social media (e.g., FaceBook, Amazon) which are American companies?
