Copyright protects all original , literary, artistic, dramatic and musical works.

Therefore if these rhymes and the audio speech is your own original creation (i.e. not copied or based on someone else's work) it will be protected under Copyright laws

Yes, Copyright comes into existence upon creation. The fact that the rhymes you are planning to use are already in use is itself proof of the ownership to the copyright of the author. You will need authorisation to use the same.
