Will this affect my UPSC Selection ?

Sir, I got into a motorcycle accident around 2 years ago and the other parties involved sustained some injuries.They filed an FIR and I was charged with Sections 279,337,338. I however not aware about the process did not file any counter FIR and pleaded guilty in court and was convicted in my absence after paying the summons fees.But during selection they ask certian questions like , Have you ever been arrested/kept under detention/prosecuted/bound down/fined by a court of law/convicted ?

Yes you have been prosecuted. And also convicted. However, what you must communicate to the interviewers is that now there stands no case against you. Since in the eyes of law you are like any other person, you must not be treated differently.
