Will this affect my UPSC Selection ?

11-Jan-2024 (In Civil Law)
Sir, I got into a motorcycle accident around 2 years ago and the other parties involved sustained some injuries. They filed an FIR and I was charged with Sections 279,337,338. I however not aware about the process did not file any counter FIR and pleaded guilty in court and was convicted in my absence after paying the summons fees. But during selection they ask certian questions like , Have you ever been arrested/kept under detention/prosecuted/bound down/fined by a court of law/convicted ?

You may tell during the selection that you had an accident whereby you will have to narrate the story if the board wants you to explain the nature of accident in which perhaps they would want to ask you and judge you that you were negligent which caused accident. so you have to narrate in such a way that you were not negligent or least it was a contributory negligence which is the other party did something which caused equal contribution to the accident. And yes you should tell the board that you pled guilty. However, you were not jailed you were fined.
